About 60 years ago, we had an idea. It grew up based on the values we were raised with: hard work, faith, integrity, and a deep respect for community.  Around here, we call that the Western Tradition.

In 1969, in this little town of Davie, Florida – a place defined by cattle, land, open space, and a strong agricultural backbone – Grifs Western began its roots.  As Davie grew, Grifs grew right alongside it, becoming a trusted part of the local ranching, equestrian, and rodeo community.

Over the years, we’ve worked hard to earn that trust. From feed and hay to ranch supplies, from western wear to saddles and tack, Grifs has always aimed to keep the essentials close at hand. From jeans to jodhpurs, pitchforks to fence posts, we’ve been here to outfit real, working people while never losing sight of the pride, style, and spirit that come with the Western lifestyle.

As times have changed and development has reshaped the landscape, both Davie and Grifs have held tight to its heritage. While honoring tradition, we’ve also embraced what’s new.  Bringing in modern styles, updated technology and fresh energy to meet the needs of today’s riders, ranchers, and Western enthusiasts.

Davie remains one of the few places in South Florida where the Western way of life is still alive and well, with a strong equestrian community and a long-standing rodeo tradition. Grifs is proud to continue supporting local rodeos, youth riders, and horsemen and women of all levels and disciplines, while also welcoming a new generation discovering the Western lifestyle for the first time.

Today, Grifs Western stands as one of South Florida’s original and largest destinations for authentic western wear, tack and supplies, riding apparel and feed, hay, and ranch essentials for your horses, livestock, dogs, cats and exotic pets.  But more than that, we’re still the same place we’ve always been – a store built on community, tradition, and people you can count on.
